Clanek v CESTINE dole (Kliknete na “Read the rest of this entry”)

Shortly after the nominations, the Czech document named Rene won the main prize. This document, directed by Helena Trestikova, was portraying a Czech criminal Rene Plasil. It was the first Czech winner of the European Film Academy.

Rene was so successful that it also defeated its Czech opponent Obcan Havel (Citizen Havel) - recently played in Minnesota on 10/07 and London Film Festival on 10/22 and 10/26, and Muz na Lane (Man on the Rope) - the winner of this year’s Karlovy Vary festival. This was a big surprise for everybody, even for Helena Trestikova, since the nominations for this “European Oscar” were only announced last week.

The film is about an exceptional man living on the dark side of society and it also shows a relationship between him and the filmmaker. Moreover, this relationship that is very similar to the Agent Starling and Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

As you can see, even a person on the edge of society can be “somewhat” visible to the rest of the world. Unfortunately, Rene won’t be able to celebrate this news for a while because he is recovering from a tragic car accident. Hopefully, this was his last wrong turn in his life and we wish him a quick recuperation.

Kratce po nominaci, cesky film jmenem Rene vyhral hlavni cenu. Tento document, pod vedenim Heleny Trestikove, zobrazuje ceskeho kriminalnika Rene Plasila a byl prvnim ceskym vitezem Evropske Filmove Akademie.

Rene byl tak uspesny, ze dokonce porazil sveho ceskeho oponenta Obcana Havla - nedavno hraneho v Minnesote 7. rijna a na Londynskem Filmovem Festivalu 22. a 26 rijna a Muze na Lane - viteze letosniho karlovarskeho festivalu. Bylo to velke prekvapeni pro vsechny, vcetne Heleny Trestikove, protoze nominace byly pouze oznameny pred tydnem.

Tento film je o vyjmecnem muzi zijicim na tmave strane spolecnosti a take zobrazuje vztah mezi nim a filmarem. Navic, tento vztah je velmi podobny tomu mezi agentkou Stalingovou a doktorem Hannibalem Lecterem.

Jak muzete videt, i osoba na okraji spolecnosti muze byt ”jaksi” viditelna zbytku sveta. Bohuzel, Rene nebude moci po nejakou dobu oslavit tuto novinku, protoze se zotavuje z tragicke autonehody. Doufejme, ze toto byla jeho posledni spatna odbocka v jeho zivote a my mu prejem brzke zotaveni.
