Following other large airlines, Czech Airlines will also change the weight limit of economy class luggage. The original limit of 23 kg (51 lbs) will be reduced to 20 kg (44 lbs) starting Sunday, October 26^th. The business class weight limits will stay unchanged (30 kg = 66 lbs). The new measures will help to eliminate problems with other airlines because they have adopted the 20-kg rule already. This move should also lower the fuel cost per flight.

So, all economy travelers - don’t forget to pack lighter now or expect the overweight charges. Every kilogram extra can cost between 300 and 400 Czech crowns.

Jak se jiz stalo s ostanimi velkymi aerolinkami, i Ceske Aerolinie snizi maximalni hmotnost zavazadel pro ekonomickou tridu. Jiz v nedeli (26. rijna), originalni 23 kg limit bude snizen na 20 kg. Limit pro obchodni tridu zustava nezmenen (30 kg). Tato nova opatreni prispeji k odstraneni problemu s ostatnimi leteckymi spolecnostmi, protoze jiz prijali 20-ti kilogramove pravidlo.
