Who would not know Woody Allen, a well-known director, actor, comedian and musician? He claims that his musical inclinations are as good as golfing techniques of weekend players, but his performance in the Congress Center in Prague confirmed that he is perhaps talented since his concert was nearly sold out. Allen flew to Prague on his private plane with his wife Soon-Yi and his children. Before visiting Prague, he concerted in Dresden, and after his concert in Prague he will continue in Budapest, Amsterdam, Florence and Warsaw. The Czech President, Vaclav Klaus, had a great chance to meet this gifted man in person too.

Woody Allen, a man of Jewish origin, was born in 1935 as Allen Stewart Kongsberg. He became famous for his film production, but he is also famous for his acting, comical and musical inclinations. He is a passionate fan of jazz and tries to play it too. You can witness his musical creations in his movie Sleeper (1973) and a documentary film Wild Man Blues, which is filmed during the European tour in 1996.

This talented man loves jazz so much that he plays it every Monday at the Hotel Carlyle in Manhattan, New York, with the New Orleans Jazz Band. This band has released two discs: The Bunk Project (1993) and a CD with music from Wild Man Blues (1997). His concert in Prague has been warmly welcomed by the local audience, and even the Czech President Vaclav Havel was honored to welcome him at the Prague Castle. CLICK HERE to see the video.

Tvrdí sice, že má hudební sklony jako víkendoví hráči golfu, ale jeho vystoupení v Kongresovém Centru potvrdilo, že je přeci jen talentovaný, protože jeho koncert byl téměř vyprodán. Přiletěl do Prahy svým soukromým letadlem se svou ženou Soon-Yi a dětmi.  Před Prahou se již představil v Drážďanech a po koncertě v Praze odlétá do Budapeště, Amsterodamu, Florence a Varšavy. Český prezident, Václav Klaus, měl také tu čest se s ním setkat a poznat tohoto nadaného muže.

Woody Allen, muž židovského původu, se narodil v roce 1935 pod jménem Allen Stewart Kongsberg. Proslavil se pro svou filmovou tvorbu, ale také je slavný pro své herecké, komické a hudební sklony. Je vášnivým fanouškem jazzu a pokouší se jej také hrát. Jeho hudební tvorbu můžete zhlédnout například ve filmu Spáč (Sleeper, 1973) a dokumentárním filmu Blues divokého muže (Wild Man Blues), kde je zachycen průběh evropského turné z roku 1996.

Tento talentovaný muž miluje jazz natolik, že hraje každé pondělí v hotelu Carlyle na newyorském Manhattanu se skupinou New Orleans Jazz Band. Tato kapela vydala dvě desky The Bunk Project (1993) a hudbu k filmu Wild Man Blues (1997).
