Thomas Hasler was born in Prague in 1941, a month before his father was murdered at the Mauthausen concentration camp by the Nazis. He left Czechoslovakia with his mother in 1949, a year after the Communists came to power, and grew up in Australia. He spent his childhood until the age of 16 years in Australia. He moved with his mother to the U.S. in 1958. He now lives in Baltimore. He earned a B.A. from Hobart College and an M.A. from the University of Michigan. Continue reading
